Role Summary
Maintains production and quality by ensuring all production and other mechanical equipment is properly maintained and in peak operating condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate to prescribed tolerances lathes, milling, grinding, drilling, sawing, welding and boring machines.
  • Handles repairs and maintenance of plant production and other related equipment.
  • Monitors, identifies and responds to signs of malfunction in machinery; performs troubleshooting for production machinery.
  • Inspects machines regularly for signs of malfunctions.
  • Reports all findings using eMaint software and tablet.
  • Schedules and performs routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.
  • Reads and complies with work orders concerning service, modification or installation of machinery
  • Keeps work area clean and performs all work in a safe manner.
  • Works effectively with other team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Key Qualifications/Requirements
Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and tools. Valid Certificate of Qualification in the Industrial Millwright trade/ticket is mandatory (433A). Welding experience in MIG, TIG and stick welding. Industrial machine repair. Ability to read drawings, blueprints specifications and manuals. High degree of mechanical aptitude and complete understanding of mechanical and electrical procedures. Candidate must be able to read and write English in order to communicate successfully and safely with coworkers. Maintenance mechanic must also have sound computer skills, including knowledge of common software and use.

Additional Information
Compensation: $ 42.99/hr.
Shift: Midnights (steady)
Shift Premium: $ 1.25/hr.
