About the Role:The Project Management Director will play a critical role in aligning project execution with the company's technology and business strategy.
This leader will develop and evolve an innovative project management framework, optimizing resource allocation, accelerating digital initiatives, and enhancing enterprise agility.
The successful candidate will design and implement enterprise-wide project governance and methodologies, prioritizing investments and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact initiatives.
Leveraging advanced project management tools, data analytics, and automation technologies, this individual will enhance end-to-end project visibility, performance tracking, and risk management to support informed decision-making.
The Project Management Director will lead the PMO team to ensure the timely and budget-conscious execution of projects, maximizing business value from investments and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the PMO team to deliver projects across the enterprise
- Build, lead, and nurture a high-performing team of project managers and BAs
- Develop strong relationships with business and technology leaders to establish and evolve project intake and prioritization
- Sponsor and lead the adoption of tools and technologies to streamline project management activities
- Monitor PMO operations, progress, and performance, managing escalations and ensuring overall success
- Control, monitor, and report on consolidated project portfolios
- Identify emerging issues and recommend course correction measures
- Ensure timelines are adhered to, keeping executives informed of potential delays or integration challenges
- Contribute to the development of the project roadmap, identifying major milestones and deliverables
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
- ~10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Experience leading and managing a team of project managers and/or business analysts
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
- Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and key stakeholders
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle models
- Sufficient technical background to evaluate complex project risks and issues
- Strong interpersonal skills, including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
- Creative approach to problem-solving, with attention to details and big-picture view
$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience
Location:Toronto, Ontario
