Ferrous Processing and Trading, a business of Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, is seeking a skilled Hot Briquette Plant Supervisor to oversee the efficient operation of the Windsor, ON facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily tasks and workloads to meet production goals and optimize resource allocation.
- Ensure the availability and maintenance of equipment, tools, and materials to support plant operations.
- Collaborate with plant personnel to plan and allocate materials, and oversee the use of equipment such as conveyors, cranes, tractors, and trucks.
- Inspect incoming materials and verify invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor and direct maintenance and repair work to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Develop and implement production schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements to meet job assignments.
- Communicate company policies and safety regulations to employees and enforce compliance.
- Assign duties and interpret job orders to workers, and establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Maintain accurate time and production records, and collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate departmental activities.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Two years of supervisor experience.
- Proficient in MS Office programs.
