Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to operate various packaging lines and equipment used to produce a wide range of salt and salt products. If you have a strong focus on safety and quality, we want to hear from you.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate bagger equipment to ensure accurate and efficient filling and coding of bags.
  • Collaborate with the Forklift Operator to promote a safe and productive work environment.
  • Maintain accurate production records and perform regular check-weighs to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on bag packer equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Coordinate salt flow to the bagging station with the Mixer Operator to optimize production efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate and proper coding of bags to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Work from a daily production schedule to include special products, codes, or palletizing as needed.
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly inventory cycle counts to ensure accurate tracking of package materials and ingredients.
  • Strictly observe Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety requirements to ensure the quality and safety of our products.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or certifications a plus.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in a food-grade facility.
  • Ability to work productively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Understanding of recording and reporting Food Safety Process Controls observations to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg and work in a varied temperature environment with exposure to salt dust.
