About the Job:

The Mental Health Nurse - Tertiary Care provides high-quality nursing care to adult patients with acute mental health needs. This role involves working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to enhance the quality of life for patients and their families.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing nursing care to patients with complex mental health needs
Collaborating with other healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans
Participating in designated hospital committees and research projects as assigned

The successful candidate will be a self-directed, motivated, and reliable mental health-trained nurse who enjoys working in a team environment and has a strong desire to learn. If you are experienced in mental health or substance use, we encourage you to apply.

We currently have multiple permanent full-time opportunities available. Shifts of work are days and nights, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00.

About this location/unit:

Hillside Centre is a 44-bed facility located on the Royal Inland Hospital campus in Kamloops, B.C. It provides services to adults and elderly individuals with acute mental health needs who require stabilization and rehabilitation strategies to promote reintegration into the community.
