Overview

McFadden's Hardwood & Hardware Inc. is a dynamic organization seeking a skilled IT System Support / Administrator to join our Oakville, Ontario based team.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annumJob Description

We are looking for an exceptional communicator with solid people skills to provide first-line support for hardware and software issues through a help desk ticketing system.

  • Collaborate with users to understand their technical needs and provide timely solutions.
  • Work with other IT team members to enhance service delivery and improve processes.

The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up, installing, and troubleshooting hardware including printers, scanners, PCs, and laptops.

Skill sets such as LAN and VPN connectivity issues, secure and reliable access, Active Directory management, and Cyber Security efforts are essential.

Buzz words include MS Terminal Server, Remote Desktop Connection, LAN/WAN, VPN, Endpoint Protection, Domain Controller, Hyper-V, Print Server, 2FA, MFA, Active Directory, ZenDesk, SAP, Office 365 suite, Teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate degree/Post secondary diploma in IT.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Comprehensive skill with Office 365 Suite, Virtual VMware, Active Directory.

You must also possess adaptability and flexibility, continuous improvement, communication, problem-solving/analysis, teamwork, and customer service skills.
