Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Records Specialist to join our team at Ontario Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements.

About the Role
  • This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping systems and possess excellent analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain general ledgers and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  2. Prepare cheques for payroll, including calculation and reconciliation.
  3. Keep financial records up-to-date, using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  4. Post journal entries, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  5. Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • At least 1 month to less than 7 months of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Salary and Benefits
