About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Development Strategist to join our team at ERM. This is a full-time limited-term role for a duration of 18 months.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will manage the permitting and approvals process for a portfolio of data center development projects throughout the region. They will conduct comprehensive assessments during due diligence, design, and construction to identify regulatory requirements and associated risks.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage permits and planning approvals for large-scale data center development projects.
  • Coordinate with internal counterparts, including land development, design, construction, operations, and environmental teams, to develop integrated project delivery strategies.
  • Develop engagement strategies and represent clients in meetings with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), external stakeholders, and the public.
  • Owning key strategic relationships with AHJs, government officials, and other external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, planning, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience delivering large-scale land development projects.
  • Experience managing portfolios of projects and associated budgets and schedules.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cross-functional working relationships with internal and external teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
