Job Summary

As a Supervision Monitor with the York Region District School Board, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during nutrition breaks, recess, and arrival/departure times. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor students during nutrition breaks, recess, and arrival/departure times
  • Ensure student safety and well-being at all times
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
  • Address disciplinary issues and report concerns to administration

Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with school-aged children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Physical ability to perform duties outside in all forms of weather
