Job Summary

As a Supervision Monitor with the York Region District School Board, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during various times of the school day. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general supervision and monitoring of students during nutrition breaks, recess, departure, and arrival times
  • Monitor student behavior and address any disciplinary issues in a fair and responsible manner
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
  • Ensure adherence to all COVID-19 and school safety protocols
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Principal/Vice Principal
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with school-aged children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to perform duties outside in all forms of weather
  • First aid and CPR certification an asset
