Job Summary

As a Supervision Monitor with the York Region District School Board, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during nutrition breaks, recess, departure, and arrival times. This is a dynamic and rewarding position that requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor students during nutrition breaks, recess, departure, and arrival times, both indoors and outdoors
  • Ensure the safety and security of students at all times
  • Address disciplinary issues and report concerns to the Principal/Vice Principal
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to maintain a positive and respectful learning environment
  • Perform first aid and CPR as needed
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with school-aged children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Physical ability to perform duties outside in all forms of weather
