About the Role

The Department of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital is seeking an Endocrinologist to join our team. As a key member of our Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, you will be responsible for managing outpatients with adrenal and pituitary disorders, as well as diabetes and other endocrine disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage outpatients with adrenal and pituitary disorders, diabetes, and other endocrine disorders
  • Participate in the Endocrinology inpatient consultation service and on-call coverage
  • Participate in the pituitary and general endocrinology and/or diabetes clinics at our Endocrine and Diabetes Centre
  • Rotate on the Endocrinology inpatient consultation service
  • Participate in the Endocrinology and Metabolism on-call rotation on a regular basis
  • Teach fellows, residents, and medical students
Qualifications
  • Endocrinologist with a clinical and academic focus in pituitary and adrenal disorders
  • Fellowship training in relevant areas
  • Masters or PhD in relevant area of research (advantageous)
  • Licensed or eligible to practice medicine in Ontario
  • Certification in Endocrinology and Metabolism by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Member of or eligible for membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association
