Job Title: Endocrinologist- Associate Clinician Scientist

The Department of Medicine at the University of Ottawa is seeking an Endocrinologist to join our team. As an Endocrinologist, you will be responsible for managing outpatients with adrenal and pituitary disorders, as well as diabetes, thyroid, and other endocrine disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage outpatients with adrenal and pituitary disorders, as well as diabetes, thyroid, and other endocrine disorders.
  • Participate in the Endocrinology inpatient consultation service and on-call coverage.
  • Participate in the pituitary and general endocrinology and/or diabetes clinics at our Endocrine and Diabetes Centre.
  • Rotate on the Endocrinology inpatient consultation service.
  • Participate in the Endocrinology and Metabolism on-call rotation on a regular basis.
  • Actively participate in the teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students.
Qualifications:
  • Endocrinologist with a clinical and academic focus in pituitary and adrenal disorders.
  • Skills and interest to dedicate approximately 50-75% of their time to research.
  • Fellowship training in relevant areas is required.
  • Masters or PhD in relevant area of research is advantageous.
  • Licensed or eligible to practice medicine in Ontario.
  • Certification in Endocrinology and Metabolism by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Member of or eligible for membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
