Heavy Equipment Mechanic Trainee

Ryder System is a leading provider of transportation and logistics solutions. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic Trainee to join our team.
About the Position:- This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual to learn from experienced technicians and develop their skills in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining Ryder's fleet of heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Servicing and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
- Performing routine preventative maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
- Inspecting vehicles to identify potential issues and performing repairs as needed
- Working collaboratively with other technicians and support staff to ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain a safe working environment
- H.S. diploma/GED or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification a plus
- Basic tools and knowledge of mechanics preferred
- Valid CDL Class A license a plus
- Competitive salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year
