Job Title: Mechanic and Equipment Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanic and Equipment Technician to join our team at Ontario Limited.

About the Job:

This is a permanent full-time position, with a salary range of $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week, with a work term that aligns with standard industry practices.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent mechanical skills, with the ability to train in new areas as needed. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with no prior experience necessary as on-the-job training will be provided.

Work Site Environment:

Our work site environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with a focus on providing top-notch service to our customers. You can expect to work in a dusty and noisy environment, with occasional exposure to odours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Add or replace hydraulic and transmission fluids;
  • Assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed;
  • Change engine oil and lubricate running gears or moving parts of automobiles, trucks or heavy equipment;
  • Grease booms, pulleys, buckets and other components of heavy equipment;
  • Install replacement mufflers, exhaust pipes, shock absorbers or radiators;
  • Repair and balance tires;
  • Replace oil, air and fuel filters on motor vehicles, trucks and heavy equipment.
