Job Title: Security Operations Supervisor
Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Security Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of our state-of-the-art healthcare control centre. This includes monitoring multiple systems, such as fire and life safety, access control, and CCTV, as well as assisting with the deployment of security staff and handling various dispatch duties.


Responsibilities:
  • Dispatch Security Guards to incidents, requests for assistance, emergencies, etc.
  • Maintain control of access to and from the property
  • Log details of radio transmission, telephone calls, and verbal instructions
  • Direct backup support as necessary
  • Inform management of major incidents
  • Maintain the Camera Surveillance System
  • Answer all incoming security telephone lines, including the complex emergency telephone line
  • Ensure that security operations occur consistently with policy and procedures

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum 1-2 years of prior dispatch or industry-related experience
  • Experience in healthcare is considered an asset
  • A strong command and fluency in the English language, both written and verbal
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • The ability to handle stress and pressure and make sound decisions under duress
  • A high degree of professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to work productively and efficiently in a team

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in the emergency services setting, such as police, fire, or EMS, would be an asset.
