Design and Deliver Transportation Solutions

Job Summary

The Design and Deliver Transportation Solutions team is responsible for the completion of design tasks, Bill of Material releases, and projects from concept to implementation in production. This will include all related design activities, calculations, communications, drawings, and bill of material.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Completes design tasks and project assignments which support production activities.
  2. Coordinates own tasks to ensure schedule and dates are met, considering vendor and production lead times.
  3. Creates designs that meet customer specifications, Technical Summaries, and other contract documents and ensures designs are within manufacturing abilities.
  4. Ensures compliance with design criteria and all applicable regulations.
  5. Completes or initiates-controlled testing of components and installations to meet contractual obligations, ensure product reliability, and verify component fit.
  6. Completes technical drawings and release documents under Engineering procedures and ENAs (Notices of Action).
  7. Provides engineering support to Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service Support, and other departments as required.
  8. Interacts with vendors and customers on design-related issues and ensures that, where applicable, there are documents of vendor approval on new installations or applications.

Requirements

  1. College Grad (1-5 yrs. experience) / Intermediate - College Grad (5-10 years experience) registered CTTAM / Senior – College Grad (minimum of 10+ years experience) registered w/CTTAM.
  2. Manufacturing & Assembly is an asset.
  3. Strong CAD/Unigraphics Drafting.
  4. Demonstrated ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  7. Ability to work independently.
