Overview

Casino Rama Resort, a leading gaming and entertainment company in Canada, is seeking a skilled Financial Compliance Specialist to join its team.

We operate 27 gaming properties across British Columbia, Ontario, and Edmonton, Alberta, employing approximately 8,648 people. Our diversified portfolio includes 448 table games, 13,887 slots, 85 restaurants and bars, and 561 hotel rooms. Key Responsibilities

  • Audit and reconcile Food and Beverage and Hotel paperwork to computer systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Audit Casino Gaming Operations and paperwork, identifying potential discrepancies and areas for improvement.
  • Reconcile CMP and SDS to actual paperwork, verifying the integrity of financial data.
  • Perform daily audits on Cashiering areas, maintaining high standards of accountability and transparency.
  • Identify exceptions to internal procedures in all audit areas, including Cashiering, Table Games, Food and Beverage, Hotel, and Slots, implementing corrective measures as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to excellence.

Requirements

  • The ability to interact effectively with other departments and senior leadership, fostering strong relationships and open communication.
  • Knowledge of System of Accounting & Internal Control is highly desirable, enabling the successful implementation of financial strategies.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, CMP, SDS is essential, supporting data analysis and decision-making.
  • Auditing/Accounting experience or education is required, providing a solid foundation in financial principles and practices.
  • Must be physically capable of making several trips to the casino throughout the day, requiring mobility and stamina.
  • Must be physically capable of moving bankers boxes, demonstrating manual dexterity and strength.
  • French language skills (verbal and written) are an asset, enhancing communication and collaboration within a diverse workforce.

  • Demonstrate a positive health and safety attitude to ensure Casino Rama continuously provides a safe entertainment destination for patrons and co-workers.

Salary Range

$55,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
