Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:- Management Support: Provide financial information, analysis, and support to various stakeholders, including plant managers, senior controllers, and other management teams as required.
- Assess product profitability, identify improvement opportunities, and follow through with commercial and operations management.
- Lead monthly 'bridge calls' discussing plant financial performance versus budget, prior year, and forecast.
- Coordinate preparation and submission of plant capital spending projects for management review and approval.
- Evaluate internal controls, ensure compliance with ARP policies and procedures, and maintain semi-annual ASX certification.
- Develop and drive plant profitability improvement ideas and programs through cost reduction initiatives, etc.
- Review monthly segmentation results output to ensure accuracy of inputs and segmentation process.
- Complete financial analysis to monitor costs and financial position in key areas, such as volumes, margins, scrap, utilities, labor, R&M, inventory, etc.
- Develop and review designated plant balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Monitor plant inventory (raw material, packaging material, finished goods, spare parts, etc.).
- Process debit/credit memo transactions, inter-company transfers, and A/P voucher batches.
- Maintain accurate accounting records, including general ledger maintenance and transactional processing.
- Review freight, purchase, cost center, and other account coding for exceptions and accuracy.
- Monitor asset additions, transfers, and disposals, and prepare local, state, and federal tax returns as applicable.
- Coordinate with HR on payroll activity and provide strong matrix reporting responsibility to the Speciality Container Business Unit Controller, VP Operations & Finance of DP Business Unit, and other finance staff within DP Business Unit.
