Tourmaline Oil Corp. is a prominent Canadian crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company, focused on long-term growth through an aggressive program in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

We are currently seeking a seasoned Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Calgary office, reporting directly to the Manager, Financial Reporting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with:

  • Quarterly financial consolidations, lead-sheet preparation, high-level accounting entries, calculation of complex entries including decommissioning liabilities, depletion, foreign exchange, and stock-based compensation.
  • Preparation of quarterly financial statements and Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A).
  • Monthly/quarterly account reconciliations, regular internal financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Supporting the finance team with data gathering, analysis, modeling, and ad-hoc financial analysis.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A CPA designation with 1-3 years of post-designation experience.
  • Industry experience in oil and gas, preferably with Exploration and Production (E&P) companies.
  • Knowledge of publicly listed Canadian companies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
