We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Early Childhood Educator to join our team at North Shore Child Care Centre.

About the Role

This is a permanent position with 37.5 hours per week, offering a competitive salary of $60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package including dental and health care plans, life insurance, and paid time off.

Job Description

As a Lead Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes planning and organizing activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours, supervising and coordinating the activities of other early childhood educators and assistants, and escorting groups on outdoor sports and recreational trips.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the overall development of children
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and assistants
  • Escort groups on outdoor sports and recreational trips
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
  • Experience working with children in a child-care setting
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
