Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Caregiver and Educator to join our team at North Shore Child Care Centre.

Job Summary:

  • We are looking for a qualified educator to develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement engaging child-care programs that promote learning and growth in young children.
  • Engage with children through storytelling, teaching songs, and leading activities that encourage creativity and exploration.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment that protects the well-being of children.
  • Serve as a role model, demonstrating positive values and behaviors for children to learn from.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.
  • Escort groups on outdoor trips, promoting physical activity and exploration.
  • Conduct observations and prepare reports to inform parents and guardians about their child's progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality care and education for all children.

Requirements:

  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Dental and health insurance plans.
  • Life insurance plan.
  • A permanent position with 37.5 hours per week.
