Job Summary

Providence Health Care is seeking a skilled Health Information Management Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the release of clinical information in accordance with policies, procedures, legislation, and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Retrieve, sever, photocopy/scanning, and electronically distribute healthcare documentation/reports
  • Respond to internal/external requests for information regarding confidentiality and release of information policies and procedures
  • Attend to legal requests for personal information and other related requirements

Requirements

  • Grade 12, successful completion of courses related to release of information, and two (2) years of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to deal with others effectively
  • Ability to operate related equipment
  • Ability to organize work
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • Ability to keyboard at 40 words per minute

Working Conditions

This role is 100% onsite and will work at St. Pauls Hospital, our Hornby St, Mount St Josephs, and our Holy Family Hospital locations.
