Job Summary

Health Careers in Saskatchewan is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist Supervisor to lead our team in the Multi-functional Laboratories Core Lab. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for supervising technical staff and work processes, ensuring the highest quality of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of Medical Laboratory Technologists, providing guidance and support to ensure the efficient operation of the laboratory.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of quality and safety in the laboratory.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of laboratory services.
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Forty-eight (48) months of previous discipline-related experience, with a basic knowledge of other disciplines within the department.
  • Medical Laboratory Technology diploma (MLT) from an accredited institution.
  • Licenses: Saskatchewan Society of Medical Laboratory Technologists and Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science.
  • Competencies: Intermediate - Computer skills, Communication skills, Leadership skills, Organizational skills, Interpersonal skills, Analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
