About the Opportunity

The Perioperative Quality Leader plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of services provided by the Perioperative Program. Under the direction of the Perioperative Director and Physician Co-Leads, this position promotes fundamental improvements to quality management practices, thereby elevating overall quality performance. This role is instrumental in upholding Nova Scotia Health's (NSH) Strategic Plan and operational goals.

About You

We seek a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in healthcare, quality improvement, and leadership. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An undergraduate degree in a healthcare discipline
  • A graduate degree in a health-specific field and/or equivalent education and experience
  • Appropriate licensure/membership in a professional organization
  • A minimum of five years' experience in Perioperative care or management
  • Expertise in quality, quality systems, and innovations in quality and patient care
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent project management and coaching skills
  • Effective presentation and group leadership skills
  • Able to work effectively with all levels of the organization and contribute as a team member
Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent full-time position with a 75-hour bi-weekly schedule. The site/location will be based on the successful candidate's residence within the Western Zone. Regular travel to other sites within the Western Zone is required.

The successful candidate will be compensated at a rate of $50.19 hourly and may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
