Job Title: Business Process Automation Specialist

Thales is seeking a highly skilled Business Process Automation Specialist to join our team in Ottawa, Canada. As a key member of our In-Service Support team, you will be responsible for implementing, integrating, and troubleshooting Business Process Automation (BPA) flows/processes, including web service invocations, embedded scripts, and user interactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and integrate BPA flows/processes to automate business processes and improve efficiency
  • Work with stakeholders to define and refine business processes prior to implementation and post-implementation
  • Lead and oversee the work of a small team of BPA specialists
  • Champion digital transformation and automation within In-Service Support projects
  • Provide products and customer solutions in consistency with all stakeholders' needs and entity policies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent education with relevant experience
  • Software Development experience: 8 years, including leading a Software Development or Software Test team: 2 years
  • Development of Web Services: 5 years, including use of Javascript for web application development: 2 years
  • Experience defining software requirements, user stories, and/or GUI UX design based on stakeholder needs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with UX design and/or implementing GUIs
  • Experience automating business processes using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN)
  • Excellent 'soft skills' relevant to leading a team and engaging with stakeholders
  • Experience working in a scrum/agile software development environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven problem-solving and analytic skills with a desire to learn
  • Experience with military or aerospace domains
