Sushi Chef Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Sushi Chef to join our team at No. 1 Sushi & Co, a renowned restaurant specializing in Japanese cuisine. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for cooking and providing exceptional customer service.
About the Role- This is a permanent position requiring 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- The ideal candidate will work 30 to 40 hours per week in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
- Possessing excellent communication skills, the Sushi Chef must be a team player who can effectively interact with colleagues and customers alike.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to prevent waste and optimize resource allocation.
- Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Familiarity with Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi preparation methods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- A competitive salary estimated at around $45,000 - 60,000 annually based on industry standards and location.
