Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications and Brand Ambassador to join our team at Mon Sheong Foundation. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and strategic professional to drive the development and implementation of all English communications and marketing strategies.

Mon Sheong Foundation is a Canadian registered charitable organization serving the Greater Toronto Area since 1964. Our philosophy is centered around caring for the elderly, encouraging the young, and providing programs and services to meet community needs. We have introduced new initiatives over the years to fulfill our mission, making us a leading provider of quality care services in the region.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Communication Strategies: Design and execute effective communication plans to promote Mon Sheong's work, elevate its brand image, and engage with various audiences.
  2. Content Creation and Management: Oversee the production of English communications materials, including feature articles, press releases, letters, speeches, marketing collateral, publications, and digital marketing materials.
  3. Digital Presence: Manage strategy, activity, content, engagement, and advertising campaigns on social media platforms to enhance the Foundation's digital presence.
  4. Event Coordination: Collaborate with the Event Management team to coordinate and execute Foundation events while overseeing the production of promotional materials and external communications to generate event publicity and coverage.
  5. Fundraising Support: Work closely with the Fundraising team to produce fundraising campaigns and assist in the solicitation and stewardship of corporate sponsors, donors, and prospects.
Requirements
  1. Post-Secondary Education: A degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or equivalent field.
  2. Work Experience: Proven experience in corporate communications and marketing, original writing and editing, and some public relations.
  3. Languages: Strong English and Chinese communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to translate between the two languages is a definite asset.
  4. Time Management: Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and oversee multiple tasks.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A valid driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle is an asset. Mon Sheong Foundation offers a competitive salary of $70,000-$90,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for career growth and professional development.
