Service Technician I

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Service Technician I to join our Edmonton Service department. As a frontline team member, you will shape our customers' experience with All Weather Windows. Your role will involve making local and out-of-town service calls to perform on-site repairs, completing paperwork in customers' homes on All Weather products (windows, doors, and glass).
Key Responsibilities
- May operate service truck and service local calls in homes and businesses
- Assists with installation and repair of windows and doors in homes and businesses
- Assists with on-site repair of products and installation of glass and site glazing
- Assists with replacing sealed units and door slabs, making screens, adjusting windows and doors, and replacing casings
- Assists with inspecting job sites, measuring sealed units, and replacing capping and caulking
- Assists with on-site problems as they occur
- Performs heavy lifting of glass to complete site glazing
- Assists with maintaining detailed paperwork
- Represents All Weather Windows in a professional and courteous manner
- Complies with all Health & Safety regulations
- Performs in-shop service work
- Performs other duties as required
Requirements
- Post-secondary education from a skilled trade or construction background is an asset
- Technician experience with some product knowledge preferred
- Warehouse, manufacturing, and/or construction industry experience is an asset
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Customer service experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Innovative and problem-solving
- Mechanically inclined and able to work on scaffolding at heights over 12 feet
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
- Must be physically fit to perform heavy lifting of glass
- Must be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision
- Flexible and adaptable in any situation
- Position will require working overtime and short notice
- Travel may be required
- Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean Driver's Abstract
- Must pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Testing
