About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Lead to join our team at Bank of Montreal. As a key member of our Data Analytics & Reporting team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing governance objectives to support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement governance objectives to support data and analytics governance strategies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and classify data assets and analytic capabilities
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries and libraries to ensure data quality and accessibility
  • Establish roles and responsibilities and access hierarchies to ensure effective data governance
  • Provide training and centralize reporting to support data governance initiatives
  • Implement Process Risk Controls (PRCs) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of relevant business experience in Finance, Operations, or Capital Markets
  • Sound knowledge of change management and business process transformation
  • In-depth knowledge of Finance, Operations, and Capital Markets data sets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to influence at various levels
