Job Title: Buyer, CASE
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our CASE Group under the supervision of our Marketing Manager. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of suppliers and products, building strong relationships and driving profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide up-to-date market information and relevant market pricing to the commercial team to gain market share for the portfolio.
- Maintain inventory within corporate targets and ensure that all inventory held is covered by back-to-back agreements.
- Negotiate appropriate payment terms and pricing with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing in the market.
- Provide timely pricing and technical information to the sales team and suppliers.
- Monitor the profitability of all transactions for the portfolio and adjust as needed.
- Maintain good communication with suppliers to ensure awareness of their needs and market conditions.
- Monitor service levels and provide feedback as needed.
- Closely monitor customer product demand and proactively adjust inventory and procurement levels as needed.
- Inventory control and monitoring.
- Run and analyze several systems-generated reports.
- Data entry in different platforms (SAP, Oracle/JD Edwards, Excel, etc.).
Requirements:
- Post-secondary diploma or college diploma and/or bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field.
- At least 3 to 5 years' experience in a procurement of raw materials position, preferably in the chemical, industrial, adhesives, or coatings industry.
- Strong negotiating skills and ability to motivate oneself.
- Detail-oriented, multi-functional, with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer skills, ideally with a CRM like Salesforce, and ability to work effectively with the Office suite.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and cooperate with others to achieve results.
- Solid analytical skills and ability to make decisions even when under pressure.
