About the Role
  • We are seeking an Executive Chef to oversee all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and service.
  • This includes developing menus, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
  • Chef supervision: Direct the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff.
  • Maintain records: Keep accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Culinary expertise: Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff.
  • Menu planning: Develop and implement menus that meet customer expectations and dietary requirements.
  • Sales management: Manage food sales and revenue growth in conjunction with marketing strategies.
  • Kitchen operations: Oversee food preparation, presentation, and plating to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Employee training: Provide guidance and support to junior staff members in their roles.
  • Tasks: Estimate labour costs, food supplies, and equipment purchases.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience as a chef or kitchen supervisor.
  • Degree: Not required but preferred.
  • Language: English fluency is essential for effective communication with colleagues and customers.
Working Conditions
  • Shift work: Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
