Job Description

At People Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for executing all aspects of payroll processing with exceptional customer service and communication skills in both English and French.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately enter, process, and balance bi-monthly payroll earnings and adjustments for assigned payrolls.
  • Support onboarding of new integrations as required, collaborating with the Payroll Team Lead.
  • Administer pay services by providing counseling and guidance to employees on various options available in different situations.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the payroll and accounting departments.
  • Prepare routine and special reports, including month-end and year-end reporting.
  • Process and balance payroll expenses, deductions, and adjustments.

Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or Industrial Relations.
  • Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification required; CHRP designation an asset.
  • Experience with various payroll and HR systems, with at least 5 years experience in ADP Workforce Now required.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and best practices.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills and experience in developing strong relationships with stakeholders.
