About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team in the Pickering area. As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide personalized care to clients with distinct needs in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care to clients in their homes, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Prepare meals and snacks, and assist with feeding.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of client care and communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
  • Current First Aid (Standard) / CPR Certificate (Level C)
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle
  • Current immunization record, including a TB test completed within the past 12 months
  • Current vulnerable sector check screening
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team, with excellent organizational skills to manage your schedule
  • Well-developed interpersonal and customer service skills, to effectively communicate with clients and to provide companionship to those who need it
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict management skills
  • Basic computer/smartphone skills would be an asset
