Job Description:

The Faculty Services Assistant plays a pivotal role in the administrative operations of the Faculty. This dynamic role involves providing secretarial and administrative support to Department Chairs, facilitating the organization of faculty and support staff recruitment, evaluation, and onboarding processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating internal and external meetings, as well as supporting conference and events coordination as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Department Chairs with administrative tasks, including calendar management and meeting coordination.
  • Provide clerical support to the Chairs, Assistant Chairs, and Coordinators, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborate with the Academic Administrative team to provide backup support during absences and contribute to the overall success of the Faculty.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A one-year certificate in Applied Business or Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Four years of recent related administrative experience, preferably in a post-secondary environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
