Techo-Bloc is seeking a highly motivated R&D Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for designing, assembling, testing, and coordinating the installation of prototypes. If you have experience in the manufacturing sector and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty, and spend time in the factories to advance a project or support your team, this opportunity is for you.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Develop and create 3D CAD models of mechanical systems and parts for new equipment, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Process Improvement: Identify improvements to be made on production lines to increase safety and efficiency, and implement solutions to optimize current equipment.
- Prototyping and Testing: Participate in the physical assembly of equipment and prototypes, and perform tolerance testing of mechanical parts and assemblies.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Analyze and help solve technical problems, and validate designs, calculations, and simulations.
- Project Management: Participate in project timeline and budget building, and supervise and mentor other engineers/designers and mechanics.
- Education: Having completed a University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in design, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Excellent expertise of SolidWorks, innovative mind, and ability to work as a team.
- Language: Bilingual English/French – spoken and written (English is necessary to serve our customers in the USA).
