Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Package Handler to join our team at Packaging Depot. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of packages and mail through our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date address databases to ensure efficient package delivery
  • Print and photocopy materials as needed for package preparation
  • Produce customized labels for packages and mail
  • Stuff and seal envelopes, both by hand and by machine
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Operate and maintain print shop and mailing house equipment
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail manually or electronically
  • Receive payments from customers and record daily transactions
  • Sort mail according to destination and ensure timely delivery
  • Weigh outgoing mail and prepare packages for shipping
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in a related field is an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Physical ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
Work Environment

Our team works in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. We require our team members to be physically able to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.

Language and Work Conditions

We require our team members to be fluent in English and to be able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. We also require our team members to be physically able to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.

Personal Suitability

Weight Handling

We require our team members to be able to handle packages weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Work Term and Hours

We are offering a permanent position with 30-40 hours of work per week.
