Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Package Handler to join our team at Packaging Depot. As a Package Handler, you will be responsible for maintaining address databases, printing and photocopying materials, and producing customized labels for letters and parcels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date address databases
  • Print and photocopy materials as needed
  • Produce customized labels for letters and parcels
  • Stuff and seal envelopes by hand or by machine
  • Address customer complaints and concerns
  • Operate and maintain print shop and mailing house equipment
  • Answer inquiries and complete forms regarding change of address, theft, or loss of mail
  • Bundle, label, bag, and route mail into the proper delivery stream
  • Calculate and affix correct postage on letters, parcels, and registered mail
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail manually or electronically
  • Receive payments from customers
  • Record and balance daily transactions
  • Record special delivery and registered mail
  • Search directories to find correct addresses for redirected mail
  • Sort mail according to destination
  • Weigh outgoing mail
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and physical stamina to handle heavy loads
  • Flexibility and reliability
Working Conditions

The Package Handler will work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling. The ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) is required.

Language Skills

The Package Handler will be required to communicate effectively in English, with Hindi and Punjabi being an asset.

Work Environment

The Package Handler will work in a courier and parcel express service environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of mail and packages.
