We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Smitty's Family Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.
Job Summary:- Lead the kitchen team and ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
- Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes of our guests.
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and staff supervision.
- Collaborate with our culinary team to create innovative dishes and menus.
- Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Co-ordinate special events and menus.
- Determine food portion sizes and costs.
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Order supplies and equipment.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Clean kitchen and work areas.
- Manage kitchen operations.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
