Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 1199859 B.C. LTD. as a key member of our food service operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Oversee the daily activities of food service staff, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Provide training and guidance to staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as opportunities for professional development.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that stock levels are adequate to meet demand.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business decision-making.
  • Food Order Summaries: Prepare detailed summaries of food orders for the chef, ensuring that orders are accurate and complete.
  • Scheduling: Establish and manage work schedules for food service staff, ensuring that adequate coverage is maintained at all times.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role, with a strong background in food preparation and service.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
  • Work Schedule: 35 to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
