About the Role

Purolator Inc is seeking a highly skilled Control Tower Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security operations, you will be responsible for evaluating and stabilizing all discrepancies within our physical security network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide alarm monitoring and response via Access Control and/or Automatic Video Display for intrusion, burglary, or duress
  • Manage access control systems and Automatic Video Display with Voice Communications
  • Dispatch personnel and escalate incidents based on assessment
  • Perform intake, triage, and escalation functions for all incidents reported to the center
  • Support investigations with video review/surveillance for theft, fraud, and health and safety related matters
  • Create and manage incidents by case management documented or directed to do so by the Supervisor, or other authorized persons
  • Monitor various security systems, including video, access control systems, and high value/sensitive assets monitoring on tracking systems
  • Collect information and data, create, and provide reports, maintain effective communications with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Manage and maintain employee access and ID card system and database
  • Work with the Control Tower Line Haul / Ground / Air with various duties in Transportation Management, Communications, GPS tracking, Trip Tracking, assist with Mechanical issues, Trace Asset Movements
  • Assist with coordinating Crisis Response when required
  • Build case reports based on data collection
  • Coach operations on how to use tools, tactics, and best practices to benefit the customer experience
  • Analyze Operational and client-specific data to identify areas of opportunity for improved customer experience

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role in the security service industry
  • Knowledge of Multi Facility Security principles including the use of CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion Systems
  • Broad understanding of Transportation and movement of goods and provision of services
  • Exemplifies and consistently demonstrates our core competencies: Customer Focus, Communicates Effectively, Collaborates, Instills Trust and Self Development
  • Familiarity with CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Systems and Alarm Response
  • Ability to read and interpret as build diagrams for facilities
  • Knowledge of Basic Security Principles and Dispatching
  • Knowledge of Transportation Security, GPS

High School – Minimum Requirement
