Job Title: Server - Food and Beverage Team Member

We are seeking a detail-oriented Server to join our Food and Beverage team at Chances Dawson Creek. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a safe and welcoming work environment, and contributing to the success of our gaming and entertainment destination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patrons with excellent service in a professional manner
  • Sell food and beverage with a positive attitude
  • Thoroughly know Food and Beverage items available in the facility
  • Use the P.O.S. Micros system, handle cash and credit, and balance sales at the end of the shift
  • Clean tables, clear dishes, empties, and wipe down surfaces
  • Ensure tables and chairs are organized in the section
  • Restock, clean, and organize work equipment and areas
  • Practice Serving It Right and assist other coworkers as needed
  • Follow opening and closing server duties
  • Adhere to all policies related to the position
  • Maintain a professional, constructive, and supportive work environment
  • Preserve Casino and guest confidentiality
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum one-year relevant experience in a high-volume environment
  • Minimum one-year cash handling experience in a customer service position
  • Ability to operate adding machines, currency counters, and other related equipment
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record and Credit Check
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Availability to work all shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines
  • Serving It Right certificate
  • Previous Micros or other P.O.S. experience an asset
  • Excellent customer service and people skills
  • Professional attitude and appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Dependable and reliable with a commitment to service excellence
