We are seeking a detail-oriented Server to join our Food and Beverage team at Chances Dawson Creek. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, selling food and beverage with a positive attitude, and maintaining a safe and welcoming work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patrons with excellent service in a professional manner
  • Sell food and beverage with an upbeat and positive attitude
  • Thorough knowledge of Food and Beverage items available in the facility
  • Use of P.O.S. Micros system; handling of cash and credit; balancing of sales at end of shift
  • Cleaning of tables: clear dishes, empties, and properly wiped down
  • Making sure tables and chairs are organized in section
  • Restocking, cleaning, and organizing of all related work equipment and areas
  • Ongoing practice of Serving It Right
  • Assist other co-workers as needed and/or directed
  • Follow opening and closing server duties
  • Adhering to all policies as they relate to functions of the position
  • Maintaining a professional, constructive, and supportive work environment with all Casino staff, by practicing open communication and effective team efforts
  • Preserving Casino and guest confidentiality while at work and away from work
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum one-year relevant experience in a high-volume environment
  • Minimum one-year cash handling experience in a customer service position
  • Ability to operate adding machines, currency counters, and other related equipment
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record and Credit Check
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Must be available to work all shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and meet stipulated deadlines
  • Serving It Right certificate
  • Previous Micros or other P.O.S. experience an asset
  • Excellent customer service and people skills
  • Professional attitude and appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player
  • Must possess excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Dependable and reliable with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence
