Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Technical Expertise: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their roles.
  • Conceptual Design: Work with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive conceptual designs that meet customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Foster a culture of creativity and resourcefulness, encouraging designers to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Project Management: Assist in the development of project plans, budgets, and resource requirements, ensuring timely completion and seamless transitions between design and manufacturing phases.
  • Communication: Collaborate closely with project management, sales, and other stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary education in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial automation, with a strong background in mechanical design and project management.
  • Skillset: Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and Outlook, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
