Senior Systems Analyst

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to join our team at FortisBC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, .NET programming, PowerShell, DevOps, Power BI, ETL processes, and experience with Informatica PowerCenter, BizTalk, Oracle Enterprise Data Warehouse, Mobile Workforce Management, WebLogic, and other applications.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to ensure effective management of corporate critical application support activities.
- Assist in the management of employee development for the team.
- Communicate effectively with users, co-workers, and management to demonstrate professional competence.
- Provide technical expertise on a wide range of strategic, financial, regulatory, safety, and reputational impactful applications.
- Assist in the general administration of the department.
- Analyze and respond to complex incidents, problem reports, and inquiries in a timely manner.
- Develop software code based on design specifications and maintain a library of application code.
Requirements
- 2-year diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 8 years' related work experience.
- Competency in managing medium to large projects.
- Superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Immediate knowledge of data center technologies, virtualization, storage, backup, networking, security, and related supporting infrastructure.
- Leadership and management skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with coworkers.
