Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team as a Fishboat Deckhand at Young Guns Fisheries Limited.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain fishing gear, including nets and lines
  • Operate fishing equipment to catch fish and other marine life
  • Clean and sort fish, and stow catch in the hold
  • Repair and maintain fishing gear and deck equipment
  • Clean and maintain deck surfaces and fish hold
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires working outdoors in a fast-paced environment. You will be exposed to wet and damp conditions, confined spaces, and potentially hazardous situations.

Requirements
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Basic knowledge of fishing gear and equipment
