Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance professional to join our team at Electronic Arts as a Development Director for Battlefield. As a key member of our Quality Verification (QV) team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing project strategy and execution, collaborating with leaders across Battlefield QV, development teams, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Leadership: Oversee the strategic delivery of major aspects of a AAA title from conception to post-launch, ensuring timely and budget-friendly project completion.
  2. Team Management: Build and guide a robust team of QA Analysts, focusing on hiring, mentoring, training, and professional development to enhance QA practices.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with QV analysts and game feature development teams to define requirements and specifications, anticipating bottlenecks and escalating to management as needed.
  4. Quality Assurance: Drive QA evolution through championing defect prevention/containment and test automation, proactively identifying, reporting, mitigating, and escalating project risks.
  5. Financial Management: Manage financial aspects of the project, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to ensure cost-effectiveness and financial efficiency.
Requirements
  1. Passion for Quality: Demonstrate a strong passion for quality and a commitment to delivering exceptional gaming experiences.
  2. Education and Experience: Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience, with 7+ years of game or software development QA experience, including 4+ years in a managerial role.
  3. Communication and Collaboration: Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience working with remote teams.
Desirable Skills
  1. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with applications such as JIRA, Confluence, DevTest, or TestRail, as well as experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  2. Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Power Bi, with experience with test automation and telemetry systems.
