Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lumber Yard Supervisor to join our team at Delta Cedar Saw Mill LP. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our lumber yard, ensuring efficient and safe production processes, and maintaining high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our lumber yard team, ensuring that production targets are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and inspect lumber products to ensure they meet our quality standards, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, track stock movements, and maintain accurate records to ensure efficient production and minimize waste.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery, ensuring that they are in good working condition and meet safety standards.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance, training, and support to our lumber yard team members, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve operational issues, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience in a lumber yard or related industry is an asset.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in inventory management and equipment maintenance.
