About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team at Robinhood. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust automated solutions to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and drive operational efficiency.
  2. Design and develop automated solutions using tools such as Ansible, Python, Jinja, Terraform, and device APIs.
  3. Triage and resolve issues with automated systems to minimize operational disruptions.
  4. Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
  1. 5+ years of hands-on experience in networking-focused automation engineering.
  2. Proven track record of delivering successful automation solutions.
  3. In-depth understanding of automation tools and technologies, including Git Actions, Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent.
  4. Proficiency in scripting/coding languages (Python, Go, Bash, etc.) to automate complex tasks.
  5. Hands-on experience with a wide range of network hardware, including Cisco, Juniper, and Arista devices.
  6. Strong understanding of networking protocols and services, including BGP, OSPF, MC-LAG, DNS, and DHCP.
  7. Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS) and experience with IPv4 and IPv6.
  8. Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their associated automation services.
  9. Strong communication and partnership skills.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, including education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is $119,000 - $140,000 CAD, based on the location where the work will be performed. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood's equity plan.
