About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Automation Engineer to join our team at Robinhood. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop robust automated solutions for our network infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle.
  • Apply expertise in networking and automation to ensure our infrastructure is robust, scalable, and efficient.
  • Drive operational efficiency by identifying opportunities for automation and implementing best practices.
  • Design and develop automated solutions using tools such as Ansible, Python, Jinja, Terraform, device APIs, GenAI, and Chatbots.
Requirements
  • ~5+ years of hands-on experience in Networking focused automation engineering and a proven track record of delivering successful solutions.
  • ~ In-depth understanding of automation tools and technologies, including Git Actions, Ansible, Terraform, or the equivalent.
  • ~ Proficiency in scripting/coding languages (Python, Go, Bash, etc) to automate complex tasks.
  • ~ Hands-on experience with a wide range of network hardware including Cisco, Juniper, and Arista devices.
  • ~ Strong understanding of networking protocols and services such as BGP, OSPF, MC-LAG, DNS, and DHCP.
  • ~ Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS) and experience with IPv4 and IPv6.
  • ~ Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their associated automation services.
